The wall and the word

The exhibition "The Wall and the Word. Russian monastery on the border with the sky"

The authors of the project are director Eduard Boyakov and photographer Mikhail Rozanov.

The main exhibition is presented in the West Wing of the New Tretyakov Gallery.

The private gallery Gartallery , which is a partner of the project, presents images of monasteries, and an album book by the photographer Mikhail Rozanov , a Russian photographer working mainly in monochrome technique. His works are distinguished by extreme minimalism, academic rigor and restraint, and architectural and natural landscapes become the subjects.

The Wall and the Word project is dedicated to the phenomenon of the Russian monastery, the search for its logos, and an attempt to break through to the core of the most important phenomenon for our civilization.
