Presentation of the book album

On June 13, 2024, a closed presentation of the book album "The Wall and the Word: A Russian monastery on the border with Heaven", created by the authors of the project - famous director Eduard Boyakov and photographer Mikhail Rozanov, took place within the walls of Gartallery. The authors shared the fascinating story of the creation of the project. According to their deep conviction, the Russian Monastery is a spiritual and anthropological boundary between the heavenly and the mortal, between heaven and earth, between Holy Russia and wretched materialism.

The authors of the project formulated a plan related not only to the visual series, but also to the search for a verbal formula of the Russian monastery. The formula consists of ten key concepts underlying the foundation of every monastery. The ten monasteries and words presented in the book-album are like ten psychological types, ten spiritual and geopolitical commandments.
